Marcela Lay grew up in Santiago, Chile. She graduated from UMCE (Universidad de Chile) as a teacher of English. She enjoys a variety of dance styles including Bachata, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Belly dancing, and Zumba, but it is salsa that inspires her the most. She has being dancing salsa for over 13 years now. Her skills were naturally developed in Chile as well as in the various countries she has traveled in, including Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Costa Rica, and England. She has also danced in the salsa meccas of Miami, Los Angeles, and New York.

Morgan Hoddes grew up in Boulder, Colorado and graduated from Tara Performing Arts High School as an accomplished stage performer. She has studied other types of dance such as swing, tango and musical theater but salsa is closest to her heart. She has been dancing salsa for a little over four years. Her skills have been developed mostly through the Denver scene but she has also had the opportunity to travel and dance in places such as Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Cuba!

Subbu Palaniappan grew up in Chennai, India and graduated from Bharathiar University as a Computer Engineer. Dance has been a passion of his life and he has been dancing various Indian styles of dance for over 15 years. He was introduced to salsa a few years ago and has been addicted ever since. He dances salsa several nights a week and constantly travels to various cities to just experience different salsa scenes. Salsa congresses are his favorite events, and has already participated in several. If you see him around, ask him for a dance.

Christina Jones grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and is currently an engineering physics student at the University of Colorado. She learned to partner dance from her father when she was 11 years old and grew up dancing social ballroom. When she came to Boulder four years ago, she discovered salsa through the style of rueda de casino and instantly became hooked. She still enjoys dancing ballroom, mostly west coast swing, hustle, and waltz, but her favorite dances have become cha cha, merengue, and especially salsa.
