Pattern 1
1: XB to L-R
2: WRT L-R w/ ¾ MRT, hand change behind M’s back to R-R (I’m doing ¾ MRT as a hook turn.)
3: on1, lower L-L, on2, toss R-R straight up in air, taking L-L low & holding W’s L shoulder to XB WLT to sweetheart
4: Sweetheart turn to unwrap
5: M’s L-L head-comb to XB


Pattern 2
1: as above
2: as above
3: as above, XB WLT w/o the sweetheart
4: Take R-R above L-L & WRT (to L-L/R-R)
5: M’s L-L hcomb, holding onto L-L, to XB (leading w/ R-R)  MLT
6: WRT led w/ R-R, & unheadcombing the M’s L-L headcomb, to L-L/R-R (there’s probably a better way to says this)
7: on1, M’s L-L hcomb & W’s R-R hcomb, on2, release R-R, on3, L-L goes over M’s head to rest on M’s R shoulder & catch R-R in front of W’s navel, to XB WLT (W ducks a little w/ her knees)


Variations:
1) Fake XB by not pulling on 5
2) Fake XB by pulling on 5, but stopping her on 6. Possibly risky (risque?).
3) Fake WLT by raising hand but not doing the turn


If W cares about the M, she won’t cover for bad leads.

 

From Week#3:

 

Drop :

·         Good idea to ask the gal in advance if she minds doing drops.

·         Regular XB L-L/R-R on 1-3 (except have “Hey Bro” grip for both hands)

·         W starts drop perpendicular to guy with her back pointing along slot to where she will drop. She will be to M’s right.

·         Need to push W down. VERY IMPORTANT: W shouldn’t drop herself because M might not intend a drop. A bad accident could occur with the woman crashing to the ground and pulling the man down with her or hurting man’s back.

·         Want to hold her by the center of her gravity.

·         When W is in the dropped position, we’re holding L-L & R-R. Weight is straight down. W’s feet are together & from knees to back are straight. M might need to shuffle to L during drop so W’s weight ends up straight down (more shuffling to L for taller women). W can shuffle her feet a little if they are too far under her. M watches W on way down to make sure he drops her the right amount (so she doesn’t hit her head on the ground.)

·         Timing: On 5, M front crosses to his L (or just brings his feet together), bringing W with him. On 6, he steps L & rotates W ¼ L (woman will pivot another ¼ L right after that), placing W’s R foot just outside of M’s R foot. M leads the rotation with a little J-hook w/ R-R & has his hands raised a bit. W hold her arms in front of her tightly. On 7 do the drop. M doesn’t step on 7, but can shuffle to L. Lift W so she is up on 3, & then start a regular basic, which will be on the 5, not the 1.



Pattern 1: (1-5 are from week 1)
1: XB to L-R
2: WRT L-R w/ ¾ MRT, hand change behind M's back to R-R
3: on1, lower L-L, on2, toss R-R over W's head (or in the direction), taking L-L low & holding W's L shoulder to XB WLT to sweetheart
4: Sweetheart turn to unwrap
5: M's L-L hcomb to XB to R-R
6: Pickup up L-L under R-R & do WRT (to L-L/R-R), switching to “Hey Bro” grip.
7: (12 counts, switching to the “5”). W’s Drop
8: W’s L-L hcomb on 1, R-R hcomb on 3, then XB WLT (starting L-L low & holding W’s L shoulder), picking up R-R over L-L
9: XB WRT to L-L/R-R, switching to “Hey Bro” grip.
10: (12 counts, switch back to “1”). W’s drop
Can add basics before switching to “Hey Bro” grip.

 

WRT fake-out:
Do fakes where M swings L hand down & up as if leading WRT, but not actually doing the turn.

Copas:
First version is from L-L/R-R, catching W’s R hip w/ M’s R hand.

Pattern 2:
1: From L-L/R-R, do a copa & catch W’s R hip w/ M’s R hand, to copa turn
2: Take R-R over L-L on 3, to XB WRT, to L-L/R-R
3: Repeat 1 & 2, etc.

Pattern 3: (just a combination of Pattern1, Pattern 2, and WRT fake-out)
1: XB to L-R
2: WRT:L-R fake (don’t actually turn the W)
3: WRT:L-R w/ ¾ MRT, hand change behind M's back to R-R
4: on1, lower L-L, on2, toss R-R over W's head (or in the direction), taking L-L low & holding W's L shoulder to XB WLT to sweetheart
5: Sweetheart turn to unwrap
6: M's L-L head comb to XB to R-R
7: Pickup up L-L under R-R & do WRT (to L-L/R-R), switching to “Hey Bro” grip.
8: (12 counts, switching to the “5”). W’s Drop
9: W’s L-L hcomb on 1, R-R hcomb on 3, then XB WLT (starting L-L low & holding W’s L shoulder), picking up R-R over L-L
10: XB:WRT to L-L/R-R, switching to “Hey Bro” grip.
11: (12 counts, switch back to “1”). W’s drop (ending in L-L/R-R)
12: Do a copa & catch W’s R hip w/ M’s R hand, to copa turn
13: Take R-R over L-L on 3, to XB WRT, to L-L/R-R
14: Repeat 12 & 13, etc.
